Sonicwall GlobalVPN causes network slowdown

After installing Dell’s Sonicwall GlobalVPN, a lot of my users experiencing slowdown in network (WiFi) performance. However, it works fine with the LAN adapter. At first, I thought it only happened to Lenovo laptops, then only brands having such issues as well.

After diagnosing the issue, it was a bug caused by the installation and Intel-based wireless adapter.

Well, the solution is to install the following patch by Microsoft itself.

Install Cockpit on Linux

CentOS

Cockpit is included in CentOS 7.x:

  1. Install cockpit:
    sudo yum install cockpit
    
  2. Enable cockpit:
    sudo systemctl enable --now cockpit.socket
    
  3. Open the firewall if necessary:
    sudo firewall-cmd --permanent --zone=public --add-service=cockpit
    sudo firewall-cmd --reload

    Ubuntu

    Cockpit is included in Ubuntu 17.04 and later, and available as an official backport for 16.04 LTS and later. Backports are enabled by default, but if you customized apt sources you might need to enable them manually.

    1. Install the package:
    sudo apt-get install cockpit
